Reminder! We are moving to our new worship schedule! No worship tomorrow, May 29, 2022. Worship in June on 2nd & 4th Sundays @ 10:00 a.m.
Bring Good News

On Christmas Eve, we sang “O Holy Night” and in verse 3 proclaimed:
“Truly He taught us to love one another; His law is love and His gospel is peace. Chains shall He break, for the slave is our brother, And in His name all oppression shall cease.”
We will now begin a yearlong (until Advent 2022 starts) exploration of and journey through the gospel according to Luke, in which Jesus quotes the prophet Isaiah and says: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor” (Luke 4:18).In 2022, let Jesus bring good news to you.
Worship is at 10:30 a.m. every Sunday (weather and Covid permitting).
Advent: It’s Time to Wait

Advent Services will be Sundays at 10:30 a.m. on November 28, December 5, December 12, and December 19. Our theme is “Time to Wait.” Hope to see you as we wait and prepare for the birth of Christ.
Honoring Our Ancestors

In this series, (October 3-November 21, 2021) we’ll be honoring our ancestors: our origins as a congregation, the land, the ministers we’ve produced, our music ancestry, and saints of our congregation. We’ll end the series giving thanks for the people and the organization of Central Christian Church. Our Regional Minister, Teresa Dulyea-Parker, will join us on November 21.
A Covenant Conversation for Disciples

In this series, we’ll explore what it means to be a Disciple and a member of a church. We’ll explore God’s covenant of love, being a movement for wholeness, the bonds of Christian faith, the light of scripture, and God’s limitless love.
August 29, 2021-Septmber 25, 2021
Where Do Disciples Come From?

In this series, we’ll explore where Disciples came from, where we are, and where we are headed. Halfway through the series we will celebrate the 128th birthday of Central Christian Church!
Rethinking Church

In “Rethinking Church” we will explore who and what church is, its missional focus, and how we take it out into the world–which can be resistant to church.
Journey to New Life

In “Journey to New Life,” beginning April 11, 2021, we will explore the life cycles of our bodies, spirituality, beliefs, customs and traditions, relationships, communities and even organizations like churches.
The Walk

On March 7 we will begin a new series called “The Walk: Five Essential Practices of the Christian Life,” based on the book by Adam Hamilton. There will be a virtual study of the book to go along with the worship series. Copies are $15 each (we do have 2 large print available) and you can reserve your copy by calling the church office or ordering online. You can then pick up your copy during office hours.
Please be sure to register for worship.
The five areas we’ll be exploring are:
- Worship & Prayer
- Study
- Serving
- Giving
- Sharing
For our upcoming series “The Walk,” we want to hear about your faith journey. Please let us know as little or as much about your faith journey as you’d like. We’ll compile the stories into videos to share in worship.
Reveal

Our series “Reveal” will run from January 3, 2021 to February 28, 2021. During this series, we’ll explore various people from the Bible as they correspond to a number on the Enneagram.
