Beginning March 15th we’ll have a Supper & Study series each week at 5:00 pm to talk about the importance of Easter and people’s encounters with Jesus leading up to it.
Lent is a time for reflection, remembrance, repentance, and a lot of other “re” words, leading to a renewal and resurrection at Easter. Take this Lenten journey on Sundays at 10:30 am and find renewal in your own life.
Wednesday February 26 is Ash Wednesday. We will have two services available to you that day. The first is at 12 pm and the second is at 5 pm.
The noon service will begin with time for silent prayer and meditation with an approximately 30 minute service, including the imposition of ashes, at 12:15. The sanctuary will then be open until 1 pm for prayer and meditation.
The evening service will consist of the imposition of ashes as well as silent prayer and meditation.

Our annual chili cookoff for missions will take place on Sunday, February 9 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Enter your best chili to see if you will win the golden spoon! $5 to sample the contestants’ chilis; vote with as much money as you’d like to determine the winner. There will be chili cooked on site for dining.
Pub Talks are back on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:00 pm at Oliver’s Bar & Grill. Let Rev. Bushey know if you can make it so enough room can be reserved.
Winter yoga sessions with Anne Van Dehey of Radiance Yoga have begun. As always, your first session is free and the cost after that is $10/class. Mats and blocks are provided. Classes are on Tuesdays at 6:30 pm and Saturdays at 10:30 am, although there will not be class on February 6 or 22.
There’s a lot of information and ideas about leadership, with neat and tidy checklists of how to be a good leaders and what good leaders do. But how does one’s identity in Christ factor in? In this series we’ll explore connections between leadership and spirituality from a different angle, beginning with Jesus’ own baptism. This series will begin on January 12, 2020 and run through February 23, 2020. We’ll also be doing a group study of a brand new book Another Way: Living and Leading Change on Purpose, which will be released for publication on January 21st. That study will begin the week of February 9.
Our Christmas Eve Candlelight service will be on Tuesday, December 24 at 7:00 pm. During Advent, we’ve been exploring nightmares. Come on Christmas Eve to see how the hopes and fears of all the years culminate in Jesus.
Moderator of the Congregation, CJ Osback has called a Congregational Meeting for Sunday, December 15th following worship. The purpose of the meeting is to Elect Officers and Approve the Recommended Budget for 2020. Detailed Copies of the Budget are Available at the Church for any member of the congregation.
