WHAT’S HAPPENING

Bring Good News

On Christmas Eve, we sang “O Holy Night” and in verse 3 proclaimed:

“Truly He taught us to love one another; His law is love and His gospel is peace. Chains shall He break, for the slave is our brother, And in His name all oppression shall cease.”

We will now begin a yearlong (until Advent 2022 starts) exploration of and journey through the gospel according to Luke, in which Jesus quotes the prophet Isaiah and says: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor” (Luke 4:18).In 2022, let Jesus bring good news to you.

Worship is at 10:30 a.m. every Sunday (weather and Covid permitting).

Honoring Our Ancestors

In this series, (October 3-November 21, 2021) we’ll be honoring our ancestors: our origins as a congregation, the land, the ministers we’ve produced, our music ancestry, and saints of our congregation. We’ll end the series giving thanks for the people and the organization of Central Christian Church. Our Regional Minister, Teresa Dulyea-Parker, will join us on November 21.
